Joshua Lowell Payne, 37, of Eden, N.C., died Dec. 24, 2008, at his home. He was born June 25, 1971, in Martinsville to James Edgar Payne and Susie Gravely Payne. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Elmo Payne.
He worked at National Textiles and he attended Galilee Missionary Baptist Church.
Also surviving are a son, Xavier Payne; sisters, Brenda Kellam, Rosa Shelton, Mary A. Payne, Elnora Payne, Dorothy Payne and Mabel E. Payne; brothers, James Gravely, Kelvin Gravely, Robert Payne, Johnny Payne, Norman Payne and Odie Payne.
Burial will be in Carver Memorial Gardens.
