A daughter of the late Robert and Virgie Ann Nolan Smith, Virginia was a member of North Moreland Christian Baptist Church, a graduate of Portsmouth West High School and loved Photography, Ceramic's and all animals.
She is survived two sons, Jeff Sparks and Teresa Fisher of Portsmouth and Danny (Carrie) Sparks of Grove City; one sister Carol (Gary) Aeh of Portsmouth; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sparks on January 30, 2016, a brother, Buddy Smith and a sister, Wanda Sampson.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday October 7, 2016 at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Paul Hagen officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Burial Park.
