Marshall Kenneth Robertson, 71, of Afton passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at his residence.
He was born December 22, 1944 in Bells Valley, VA. He was the son of Steward Wallace and Allie Mae Ingram Robertson.
Marshall was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He served as a helicopter mechanic from 1964 to 1968.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steward W. Robertson; mother Allie I. Robertson; brothers Russell Robertson, Junior Robertson and Marvin Robertson; sister Mary Powell; brother in laws Andrew Wilhelm, Brooks Powell, and Clain Powell; sister in law Lorraine Robertson.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Shirley Williams Robertson; daughters Donna McCormick and Patricia Sipe; son John Robertson; brothers Steward Douglas Robertson and Melvin Lee Robertson; sisters Martha Wilhelm, Edith Powell, and Mildred Burke; sister in law Patricia Robertson; grandchildren,Kenny Robertson,Amanda Kinkead, Kourtney Robertson, Josh Eiken, Kim Gray, Margo Gorman, John-Allen Robertson; great-grandchildren,Kavon Robertson, Zane Roberts, Peyton Caplette, King Jones, Trevor Knight, Ryan Gorman, Bradley, Avery, and Conner Robertson, Lonan and Lacy Gray; great-great grandchild, Korbyn Snyder.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Augusta Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 340.
