Donad Ausbon Goodson, 62 of Newalla, Oklahoma, passed away on October 2, 2016. Donald was born on April 23, 1954 to Donald Leroy and Betty Louise Goodson. He retired from the US Navy after 30 years of service as a machinist. After retiring he went to work for Fed-X for over 15 years. After leaving Fed-X he became a cross country truck driver. He enjoyed seeing his country. He also enjoyed working on cars, he was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed spending time with his family doing it. His first love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lois Goodson, 4 children, David Goodson, Zane Goodson, Chad Goodson and wife Kirana and Kimberly Goodson; 4 grandchildren, Deitric Schwab, Elizabeth Goodson, Alexis Goodson and Checotah Goodson; siblings, Becky White and husband Troy and Shirley Bevers; his father, Donald Leroy Goodson and a host of other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Goodson.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00PM to 9:00PM and Friday from 9:00AM to 9:00PM at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK.
Funeral Services will be 10:00AM on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow to KOLB Cemetery.
