Besides her mother, Florine Harper; father, Tom Benton; brother, James Benton, sister, Diane Benton; sister-in-law, Jessica Mason; and boyfriend, Andrew Diabo, Amanda also leaves behind her grandmother, Diane Author; brother, Aaron Benton; sister, Ashly Gansen; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as four young sons.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Amanda Lynn Benton, and her precious Baby Diabo, at Messiah Church in Detroit, on Oct. 8 at 10 a.m., with a wake following at noon at The Southwest Alano Club.
People who wish to send flowers are asked to send live plants. Family members say that Florine would rather see a plant that will live than flowers that will die, like her daughter did.

Her family held a vigil Sunday in the same area where she was found. The mother went missing after last week, her car was discovered in southwest Detroit and her purse was found a few blocks away.
"She had one of the biggest hearts of anybody that I know," said Tom Benton, her father. "She tried to get help, she was denied time after time after time. She kept getting turned away from these treatments because she didn't have the money. They wouldn't accept her insurance."
"We are not going to change this world if we don't come together," said Florine Benton, her mother. "We have to unite. We've got to take our streets back.
