Ervin Stanley Walker, age 99, of Prairie du Chien, formerly of Seneca, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 following a sudden illness. He was born May 22, 1917, in Grant County to Raymond and Mildred (Wells) Walker. Ervin was a veteran of W.W.II. He owned and operated Walkers Garage in Seneca where he sold and repaired cars and trucks. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He was in business there for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Walker of Boscobel; children, Sharon Severson of Eastman, Judith Mezera of Dallas, TX, Jan (Dick) Smethurst of Marion, IA, Suzanne Walker of Prairie du Chien; 10 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Arydeth Adams of Messa, AZ, Orpha Dittberner of Waunakee and Darrell (Mary) Walker of Dailyville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Minolla Meyers.
There will be a private family service at a later date.
