Tara Lee Peppers, a former resident of Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away in Houston, Texas, recently after a brief illness. She was a graduate of Guymon High (1964) and Panhandle State University, with a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma, she took pleasure in writing poetry.

The daughter of long-time Guymon residents, G.L. and Mary Lou Peppers, (both deceased), Tara is survived by her sisters, Deborah Peppers, Joyce Field, Mima Hale and Angie Hoover, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Prior to her passing, Tara has been a resident of Houston, Texas, for almost two decades. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Guymon.

A private family service will be held at Elmhurst Cemetery on Saturday morning. Family and friends are invited to a memorial reception at the home of Mima and Rex Hale at noon on Saturday, October 8th.

The family is asking that remembrance donations be to the Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
