Loretta Zae Abernethy Morgan, 77, of Connelly Springs, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
Born February 18, 1939 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. Abernethy, Sr. and Mabel Anthony Taylor Abernethy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Horace "Johnny" Morgan.
She was a member of Penelope Baptist Church.
Loretta was survived by her daughter, Wendy Sue Seagle of Hickory, NC; and a brother, Zane G. Abernethy.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Penelope Baptist Church with the Rev. Nicholas King officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
