Stephanie Marie Dixon, age 99, of Centerville, passed away October 4, 2016 at The Wellington of Dayton. She was born February 22, 1917 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of George and Pauline Stimetz.
Stephanie was a 40 year member of the Church of the Incarnation in Centerville. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and creating beautiful home interiors. She was a devoted wife and mother. Stephanie treasured her grandchildren and bequeathed a wonderful legacy of love, wisdom and service to others. She will be deeply missed but remains alive in our memories forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert E. Dixon.
Stephanie is survived by her son, Allen of Centerville; daughter, Linda (Saul) Stankus of California; grandchildren, Melanie and Jennifer; great grandchildren, Luke, Ella, Blake and Tyler; brother, Emil of Kansas City, KS. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
A Celebration of Mrs. Dixon’s rich and full life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). The family will greet friends on Saturday from 10-11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment in David’s Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephanie’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
