Leading Aircraftman, Aeroplane Supply Depot, Royal Air Force. Service no 96585. Died of influenza aged 22. Son of Mrs Lucy Jeffreys of Temperance House, Llanymynech.

David was born in Llanymynech to Lucy Anna Jeffreys and William Jeffreys. In 1911 he was listed as 'step grandson' to William and Mary Owen of Temperance House, Llanymynech, with his mother listed as Lucy Davies, step daughter.

He enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps on 17th September 1917 and then joined the RAF on 1st April 1918. In civilian life he was a postman. He stood just under 5 feet tall.

His military records include service at Port Said in Egypt with 216 squadron.

He was transferred to the RAF reserve on 5th Feb 1920 and deemed discharged at Shrewsbury on 30th April.
