Sherry “Nita” Jackson Edwards, 53 of Doddridge, AR, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Enon Baptist Church in Ravanna, AR, officiated by Rev. Gary Terry and Rev. George Goynes. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 5th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.

Nita was born July 30, 1963 in Atlanta, TX and lived in Ravanna, AR all of her life. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She worked at First Guaranty Bank in Oil City, LA, she delivered papers for Texarkana Gazette, and she worked as a hair stylist throughout her life. She spent her time loving and being loved by her grandchildren. She was very generous and always put others first. Nita was loved by everyone who knew her. Her amazing smile will be missed by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her uncle Roy Swearengin, her grandmother Tommie Swearengin, her niece Allie Cat, and her grandmother Emma Sullivan. She is survived by her husband John Edwards of Ravanna, AR, her parents Louis and Sherry Sullivan of Ravanna, AR, her children; Tracy Parker and husband William of Bloomburg, TX, Daniel Jackson and wife Becca of Bloomburg, TX, Dustin Jackson and fiancé Jennifer Shipp of Ravanna, AR, Bryan Edwards of Shreveport, LA and Eric Edwards of Vivian, her brothers; Andy Sullivan and wife Sherry of Ravanna, AR and Clinton Sullivan and wife Barbara of Rodessa, her grandchildren; Hanna, Rylan, Kylie, Greyson, Braylee, Kellar, and soon to be Kase, Dalton, Brett, and Joseph, and a number of Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cody Chapman, Adam Sullivan, Cody Sullivan, David Jackson, Jay Parker, and Bubba Ivy.
