Donna Mahan (April 24, 1923 - October 1, 2016) passed away last Saturday in her residence at Maplewood Gardens Retire-ment Apartments, Spokane. Donna was born to George and Florence Hudlow and raised in Foothills, just north of Spokane Valley. She graduated in 1940 from West Valley High School, then moved to Seattle and worked as a stewardess with Greyhound Coach Lines. It was in Seattle that she met her husband of 58 years, who at the time was a Navy Chief Petty Officer, in charge of the NCO Club in Oak Harbor Washington. They spent the next twenty years raising two boys and moving to various US Navy bases on the West Coast and Hawaii. After leaving the Navy they moved back to Foothills, built a house, and were deeply involved in the life and leadership team of Foothills Community Church. Donna loved small animals, so she became a Small Wildlife Rehabilitator and joyfully raised many orphaned squirrels and birds. She is survived by her two sons Ron and Wes; her brother Calvin (Bus); five grandchildren and one great-grandson. There will be a Graveside Service this Thursday, October 6th at 3:00 PM at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery as well as a Memorial Service this Sunday, October 9th at 3:00 PM at Foothills Community Church in Spokane.
