Vivian Ann Neal, 65, of Decatur went to be with Jesus Monday, September 26, 2016 with her family by her side.

Vivian was born December 29, 1950 in Jackson, Mississippi to the union of Wade and Sadie (Williams) Smith. She graduated from Lanier High School in Jackson. She attended Richland with her daughter Rochelle and received her certificate. Vivian was previously employed with A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company for seventeen years and then with Jackson State University. She rededicated herself to Christ in 1978 and was a member of Kingdom Come Ministries where she served as past children’s church teacher and past President of the Torrence Park Neighborhood Organization. She enjoyed writing poems and authored a book “Inspirations from the Heart”. She also loved playing Uno, praying, and reading her bible.

She leaves behind to cherish fond memories, her son, Troy Neal Jr.; daughters Rochelle Smith, Tonya Neal and Shumyria Neal; brother, Ajanaku “Lash” Williams; sister, Toya Patterson; nine grandchildren; special aunt, Vivian Smith Robbins and special cousins, Phyllis Robbins and Beverly.

Vivian was reunited in Heaven with her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and grandson, JaCory Neal.
