Rose Marie Alex passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. She was 69.

She was a lifelong resident of Kintnersville. She graduated from Palisades High School and BCCC. She was employed as secretary to the principal at Palisades High School for 40 years. Her dedication to her work and the people she worked with and for never faltered. She was the steady smile, the helping hand, the person who always showed up. Rose Marie also lovingly cared for her mother, Frances, until her passing at 93 years of age.

Rose Marie had a beautiful hand for Calligraphy. She also developed a flair for writing. Her eloquent and endearing words formed the most beautiful tributes for birthdays, anniversaries, and memories. She was an avid photographer recording every gathering she attended.

After her retirement Rosie never stopped being of service. She helped elderly neighbors and participated in countless children's lives always giving of herself and her time. It is no wonder she became everyone's best friend.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Frances Alex. She is survived by her brother, John Alex; sisters, Diane Alex, Theresa Boles, and Deborah Alex; three nephews; a niece; and her companion, Owen Barker.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon Friday, Oct. 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ottsville. Friends may call at the church at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
