A Graveside Service will be held Friday, March 19, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery for Mildred Eldora Owen, 89, of Biggs, California. She passed away Monday, March 15, 2010, at Hovlid Care Center in Gridley of natural causes.
Mildred was born July 14, 1920, in Stockton, California. She was a long time resident of Biggs. She was the ninth child of ten born to Hugh A. Lyons and Agda Carlson Lyons. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Delbert Owen, a son, Kenneth Owen, grandson, Scott Marler and great-grandson, Joshua Atteberry.
Mildred is survived by two daughters: Ilene Herringer and husband, Karl of Gridley, CA and Ladine Best of Gridley, CA; and one son, Rod Owen and wife Marilynne of Biggs, CA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and fiive great-great-grandchildren.
Pastor Tony Albiston of Biggs United Methodlist Church will officiate at the services.
Interment will be held at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
