He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Marye Lou Landrum and their three sons: Jeffery Ray Landrum and wife Casse Page, Landrum and their two children Hudson Ray and Hailey Kay; Randy Chase Landrum and wife, Linde Jo Landrum and their two children Ryker Chase and Kenley Jo; Thomas Christopher Landrum and wife Hollie Noel Landrum and their two children John Edward and Christopher James; his brother, Raymond Andrew "Andy" Landrum; two sisters, Jan Spahn and Vicki Spiekerman and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the definition of a "warrior" and had a remarkable drive when it came to criminal law enforcement, family or any life's challenges. At his core, John was a truly kind empathetic man who always strived to do the right fair thing in any situation. Anyone who spent time with John quickly learned he was a totally devoted family man. His love, admiration and respect for his wife, Marye Lou was evident every time he spoke of her. he also could not contain the immense love he had for his sons, and the pride he took in their accomplishments. Watching them start their own families and becoming a grandfather absolutely put him over the moon. He will be greatly missed by all, but we can find peace in knowing our Captain is forever watching over us. Services honoring John will be held in Portland, Texas at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1008 Austin St. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11 a.m.
