On Friday, September 30, 2016, the good LORD hushed the sweet voice of Eva Nell Roberts at her home in Idabel. She recently celebrated her 63rd year of life on this earth. She was born on September 3, 1953 to Eva Mae Akins and Ermon Lee Roberts in Texas.
She grew up in the small community of Beaver Dam in Bowie County, Texas. She attended and graduated from Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, NM. Eva loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing spades, listening to music, watching movies on Lifetime, Game Show Network, going the casino, dancing, singing, and cooking.
Preceding her in death was: grandmother, Maggie Akins; mother, Eva Mae Akins; father, Ermon Roberts; and sister, Janet (Jenny) Roberts.
She leaves behind to carry on her legacy: four children, Tammy S. King, Tangy Y. King, Charles E. Wade III, and Christopher E. Williams, all of Idabel, OK; five sisters, Lucille (Roger) Sparkman, Katherine (Larry) Bagsby, and Barbara Bagsby, all of Idabel, OK; Elizabeth (John) Dowell, DeKalb, TX; and Linda (Greg) Jackson, Clarksville, TX; five brothers, Jackie Akins, Charles (Dorothy) Akins, Chuck (Tammy) Bagsby, all of Idabel. OK; Rickey Bagsby and Dennis (Rosalind) Bagsby, both of DeKalb, TX.
Also, nine grandchildren, Jaquilyn L. King, Jacquorrion L. King, Lamardra T. King, Jaquevean L. King, Eva J.Z. Freeman, Jamarrion D. Freeman, Jaqualyn L. King, Devon L. Wade, Aiden J. Wade and one great grandchild, Mariah N. Barksdale. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.
