Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. Rev. Mark Ledoux, Pastor of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, will officiate the services.
Mr. Young was a native of Basile and a resident of Carencro. He retired from Xerox after 38 years of service. Mr. Young absolutely loved his wife, his parachute airplane, his Miata, hot sauce, the Saints and was an avid cyclist. He was a member of the Mardi Gras Miata Club of Southeast Louisiana. Mr. Young was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Debbie Young of Carencro; one brother, Daniel Ray Young and his wife, Linda, of Eunice; one sister, Jackie Marie Webb and her husband, Jerry, of Moss Bluff, a host of nieces and nephews, his godchild, Derek Sonnier; two special nieces, Courtney Elkins and Hannah Tanner, which he loved as his own children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcide Young and the former Mabel Vidrine; and one sister, Lorraine Granger.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
