Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Maureen Elam of West Liberty, KY., son, Jim (Chris) Elam of Port St. Lucie, FL., two daughters, Pam (Jack) Stanford of Huntersville, NC., and Tommye Barie of Sarasota, FL., sister, Georgia Starling, grandchildren, Morgan (Harry) Sargeant and Joshua Elam, and great-granddaughter, P.J. Sargeant.
