Mrs. Faye Hill Bell, 72, died Sunday morning (October 2, 2016) at St. Vincent's Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville, FL after an extended illness.

She was born April 4, 1944 in Bacon County to the late Hubert Hill of Collinsville, MS, and Louise Taylor Hill Rozier of Alma. She lived most of her life in Waycross where she graduated from Ware County High School. She was formerly employed by Dr. Dan Terry and Dr. John Butler for over three decades before retiring.

Faye loved her family and friends. Except for her home, she enjoyed the beach above all and going to the movies. She was a pioneering, courageous woman who had a career when this was unexpected of women. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Marc Bell of Thomasville, brother, Eugene Hill of Alma, half-sister, Brenda Talbert of Collinsville, MS, and niece, Jeana Hill-Thornton of Alma.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Oscar Bell of Waycross; one son, Michael Bell (wife Amy) of Richmond Hill; one granddaughter, Emily Bell of Richmond Hill; three grandsons, Spencer Bell (wife Yvonne) of Newport, VA, Griffin Bell of Macon, and Davis Bell of Athens; three brothers, Herman Hill (wife Mary) of Blackshear, Jimmy Hill (wife Pat) of Mershon, and Randy Hill (wife Jennifer) of Alma; step-mother, Joyce Hill of Collinsville, MS; half sister, Lisa Brown of Collinsville, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday (October 5, 2016) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
