John W. “J.W.” Murrell, age 79 of Sturgis, died 10/3/16 at his home. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed rodeos and collecting miniature trains. He also attended the Trail of Tears Pow-Wow in Hopkinsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John F. and Irene Murrell; wife Dorothy Jean Murrell in 2003; sister Margaret Spurlock; brothers Richard, Otis, Boyd, James, and Joe Ed Murrell.

Funeral service will be 10 AM Thurs 10/6/16 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis, KY. Rev. Jeff Paris will officiate.
Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wed and 9-10 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery.
