ROBERTA E. MOHR
Roberta E. Mohr, 96, of Clearwater, Fla., died Wednesday, March 22, 2006. Born Nov. 27, 1909, in Moral Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Anna Elizabeth (Parsons) Bush. She married Joseph M. Beaver in 1930, and he preceded her in death in 1954. She then married Raymond G. Mohr in 1956, and he preceded her in death in 1979.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce (husband, Steve) Greenfield, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; one step-son, Norman (wife, Lois) Mohr of Shelby County; one sister, Eileen Nigh of Shelbyville; five grandchildren, Joshua Lee Greenfield, Stephen Mohr, Kevin Mohr, Gary Mohr, and Greg Mohr; four great-grandchildren, Darrell Mohr, Heather Combs, Scotty Mohr and Austin Mohr; and one great-great-grandson, Robert Combs III.
She also was preceded in death by one stepson, Gordon Mohr; six sisters, Blanche Brown, Josephine Padrick, Minnie Thompson, Bertha May Bush, Carrie Mohr Tillison and Augusta Bush; one brother, Ernest Bush; one granddaughter, Terry Mohr; and one great-grandson, Ryan Mohr.
Mrs. Mohr lived most of her life in Shelby County before moving to Arizona in 1993 and later to Florida. She was a homemaker and had been employed at Mullens Grocery in Fairland from 1958 until retiring in 1978.
Mrs. Mohr was a member of Fairland United Methodist Church, Young at Heart Senior Citizens in Acton and Triton Senior Citizens in Fairland.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Davis officiating. Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Indianapolis, Ind.
