Edward Norris Thornton, 52, left this earth on October 1, 2016 at home in Newport, NH after a long battle with Cancer, surrounded by friends and family. He was born, raised and educated in Newport, New Hampshire. The youngest son of Nockie and Dottie Thornton.

He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley. He was a skilled painter and truck driver.

If you ever saw Eddie, he always had a smile on his face and he had the most beautiful piercing blue eyes. He had a hard outer shell, but he was a big softy on the inside. He loved to sing and was a big kid at heart.

His family includes his wife, Wanda Thornton whom he married May 16th, 1998; his six children, daughters Ashley, Amy, and Alyssa Thornton. His stepsons Harvey and Josh Matheson and his son Josh Morgan as well as his eleven grandchildren. His two brothers Mike and wife Ginny, Tom and wife Christa.

He was predeceased by his parents Nockie and Dottie Thornton.

Per Eddie's request there will be no services held. We will have a celebration of his life on October 7th at Tom and Christa Thornton's house in Newport, NH.
