Patricia and Jerry passed away peacefully in their family home, months apart, surrounded by loved ones.

Patricia was born in Vernon, Texas but resided in Bakersfield for most of her life. She was a homemaker, avid cook, and her favorite time of the year was the holidays. Patricia loved her family. She cherished her 53 year marriage to Jerry and raised three wonderful children with him. She was happiest when she was spending time with family, whether it be for dinner, playing poker or board games.

Jerry was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. As a young man he became an amateur gymnast and high diver. He was proud to join the U.S. Army where he was an expert marksman and jeep gunner. After the Army Jerry opened his own dance studio in Flagstaff, AZ where he taught dance lessons. Work brought him to Bakersfield in the early 60s where he started his life with Patricia and his passion for tooling leather. Jerry was an expert at leather work focusing on boot and saddle making.

Patricia and Jerry are survived by 2 children along with 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. They were preceded in death by their son, Kenny Pensinger.

Special thanks to all family members for your love and support, and also to Optimal Hospice nurses for their dedication and compassion.

Service will be held at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd. Arvin, CA 93203 on October 7 at 10:00 a.m.
