Martin Kane, 88, of Pleasant Valley Manor, formerly of Gilbert and Bronx, N.Y., passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, at Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township, Stroudsburg.

Martin was born in Detroit, Mich., on Sept. 25, 1921, the son of the late Nathan and Ida Sandick) Kane.

He was the husband of the late Frances Storino) Kane, who passed away Feb. 20, 1999.

Martin had worked as a cutter in the fabric industry in New York City for many years, until retiring in 1997. Martin was an animal lover and over the years he had many different pets.

He was of the Jewish faith.

We give thanks as we remember Martin's love for us and how his presence has shaped our lives. He will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Michele D'Agesto and her husband, Carmine, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Wendy Breihof of Easton. He was a loving and gentle grandfather to Cheryl Breihof, Cindy Nelson and Scott Breihof, and a great-grandfather to Brandon, Peter, Sara, Alison and Madeline.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanie Loveinger.
