Rebecca Davidson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2006.

Reba, as she was known to her friends and family was blessed with 82 joyful years. Reba's life is beautifully described by her friend Martha Bomar:

Tribute to Reba

Consider the beauty of a delicate rose;

Or the gently cooing of turtle doves;

Think of the grace of a willow in the wind;

That was Reba, our beloved friend.

Her warm loving way and her radiant smile,

Were such an example of her Christ-like style.

She touched our lives with God's gentle grace;

And left many sweet memories we all can embrace.

We'll miss her - it's true - but this much we know,

She walked with our Savior - She was ready to go!

She fought the good fight, she finished her race;

Now she talks with our Savior, face to face.

Reba was born on October 16, 1924 in Dover, Arkansas to John Henry and Laura Goodall Tollison. She was the youngest of six children. Her greatest joys in life were her husband, children and serving the Lord.

She is survived by her sisters, Mildred Kendall and Athalene Miller and husband Loren; her daughters, Bettye Kaye Pace and husband Byron of Clarksville, Texas; Laurie Irion and husband John of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; and son, Robby Davidson and wife Cappy of San Antonio; grandchildren, Dee Snody of Arlington, Texas and Crispin Schroeder and wife Dina and great grandchildren, Tevia and Ezra Schroeder of Kenner, Louisiana; and, her dear friend Gwen Jackson of Midland.

The family received friends at the Chapel of the First Baptist Church in Midland on Monday, December 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church, Midland on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home with Dr. Gary Dyer officiating.
