Sara Brooke "Brooksie" Robertson Long left this earth on September 30, 2016 while staying at her family's farm west of Laverne, Oklahoma in the Slapout community.
Brooksie was born on December 26, 1971 to her parents Janie Nine Robertson and Jim Robertson. She lived in Stillwater, Carney, Sand Springs, and Norman, Oklahoma before moving with mother and three siblings to Follett, Texas in 1989. Brooke attended Follett High School and was a 1991 graduate. Following graduation, she attended classes at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Panhandle State University. In 1996, Brooksie returned to Norman, Oklahoma where she lived until her death.
During life, Brooke enjoyed skiing and staying at her grand-parents' cabin, dancing, taking college classes with her Granny, and playing with her nephews, Taylor and Alec. She cared for her friends at Thunderbird Clubhouse, and all those who she had special relationships with over the years. Brooksie loved her family, cousins, aunts, uncles, Granny and Papa, Grandma and Granddad, and her dog Bear.
Brooksie is survived by her mother, Janie Nine Robertson, Laverne, Ok.; her father, Jim and Delores Robertson of Hatfield, Ark.; her brother, Glen and wife, Stacey Robertson, Choctaw, Okla.; sister, Rebecca and husband, John Ashley, Higgins, Tx.; and brother, Barrett Robertson, Choctaw, Okla; nephews, Taylor Robertson and Alec Ashley; grand-parents Bill and Corinne Robertson; and preceded in death by her Granny and Papa, Beula and Raymond Nine. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and her special friend Chris, and her dog, Bear.
