Ruth Chandler Sanders, 88, of De Leon, went home to her Lord and Savior October 2, 2016.
She was born August 8, 1928, in De Leon to James Henry Chandler and Audie Ree Barnes Chandler.
Ruth lived in the De Leon community all of her life and was a long time member of De Leon First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, De Leon Chapter #693, for over 65 years. Ruth retired from the telecommunications industry as an office assistant. She was a devoted and loving homemaker for her family. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved them all dearly. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family and many dear friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Lloyd E. Sanders, Jr. and wife, Debbie, and Edward Lynn Sanders and wife, Debra; daughter, Nancy Karen Alcorn; grandchildren, Melissa Sanders, Jason Sanders and wife, Brenda, Tiffany Misenhimer and husband, Matt, Shae Lynn Pendleton and husband, Blaze, and Jennifer Alcorn; great-grandchildren, Oliver Sanders, Olivia Sanders, Kendall Misenhimer, Ashlynn Misenhimer, Taylen Pendleton and Fletcher Pendleton; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family; and many special friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, James and Audie Chandler; sisters, Lotina Smith and Peggy Courtney; and granddaughter, Paige Sanders.
