James Dale Due 78, of Willow Springs, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, September 29, 2016. James was born August 20, 1938 to Zelter and Cecil Mary (Drumright) Due in West Plains, Missouri.

On April 5, 1968 James married Karolyn Frances Duddridge and they were united in marriage for 48 years. James attended West Plains High School, served his country in the National Guard and worked for Missouri Department of Transportation as an Aggregate Inspector.

James is survived by his wife, Karolyn; daughter, Gina Cabano and Billy Martz of Willow Springs; son, Jason Due and wife, Molissa, of Licking, MO; son–in–law, Lee Allen Wood; nine grandchildren, Shantelle Cabano, Dwayne Woolard, Nicholas Hall, Travis Woolard, Jordan Phelps, Kasara Cabano, Lauren Due, Alexis Due and Logan Wood; three great grandchildren, Chad Fitzsimmons, Brendon Cabano and Brantley Reed; and one brother, Manuel (Red) Due and wife Ruby, from West Plains, MO.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Zelter and Cecil Mary Due; his daughter, Angie; one brother, Bobby Due and one sister, Jesse Marie Vinyard.

James was a deacon and a Sunday School Teacher at the First General Baptist Church in Willow Springs, attended Wednesday evening bible study at the Assembly of God Church, and attended AA meetings in Willow Springs. He was also president of the Willow Health Care Volunteers and made many friends there.

James was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was always willing to help anyone at any time. He always loved organizing wood cutting. He loved hunting, fishing, boxing and loved watching the Syfy Channel. This was the first year that Jim did not plant a garden, however loving neighbors and family provided lots of produce. James had a big heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by his family, and many, many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Pine Grove Cemetery, Willow Springs, Missouri under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, MO.
