KINSTON | Ernest Ray Langston, Sr., 75, of Kinston, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha Thompson Langston. Ernest attended Freedom Fellowship Church. He is survived by his wife, Ella Langston of the home; daughter, Teresa Lynn Moody and husband Daryl of Kinston; sons, Earl Wilson Hill and wife Donna of Kinston, Wesley Merle Hill and wife Jessica of Kinston, Curtis Lee Hill and wife Sylvia of Deep Run, Ernest Ray Langston, Jr. and wife Kim of New Bern; sister, Lou Ella Rouse of Ernul; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
