He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilton Melvin & Reda Carver. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Johnnie Carver; 2 sons, Mel Carver (Dianne) & Michael Carver; step-mother, Maggie Lou Carver; 2 brothers, Billy Carver (wife, Dorothy) & Raymond Carver; 6 sisters, Louise Smith (husband, Johnny Paul), Pearl Vile (husband, Dr. Walter), Ruth Carver, Jackie Fewox, Evelyn Boyett (husband, Ed), Millicent Spillars (husband, Don); step-sister, Lynette Ownbey and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 12, 2003 in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. with Dr. Walter Vile officiating.
