CARVER Ernest Carver, age 75, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2003 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born in Holopaw, FL and lived in Jacksonville most of his life. He was the owner and operator of E. Carver Septic Tank and retired in 1990. He was Baptist by faith and was an Army veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 6922.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tilton Melvin & Reda Carver. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Johnnie Carver; 2 sons, Mel Carver (Dianne) & Michael Carver; step-mother, Maggie Lou Carver; 2 brothers, Billy Carver (wife, Dorothy) & Raymond Carver; 6 sisters, Louise Smith (husband, Johnny Paul), Pearl Vile (husband, Dr. Walter), Ruth Carver, Jackie Fewox, Evelyn Boyett (husband, Ed), Millicent Spillars (husband, Don); step-sister, Lynette Ownbey and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, February 12, 2003 in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 729 S. Edgewood Ave. with Dr. Walter Vile officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday evening (TONIGHT) at the funeral home Please sign the Guestbook at Jacksonville.com
