Bertha (Dean) White Wolfe, 94, of Coryland, Pa., went to be with her Lord on Sept. 30, 2016 from the Sayre Health Care Center in Sayre, Pa. She was the loving wife of Hugh A. White, who passed away June 6, 1962, and Robert K. Wolfe, who passed June 11, 2013. Bertha was born on May 11, 1922 in Snedekerville, Pa., daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Laudenslager) Dean. She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1942, and was a member of Coryland Church. Bertha was a farmer's wife which meant she was a farmer and homemaker all in one. She enjoyed cooking, family outings, picnics, and gatherings. She was also a member of The Eastern Star. Bertha is survived by her son, Donald D. White Sr. and wife Barbie of Troy, Pa.; her daughter, Susan Jones and husband Keavin of Millerton, Pa.; her grandchildren, Lesley (Edward) Horvath, Donald D. (Kristen) White Jr., Aaron White, Brownwyn (Greg) Herb, and Kory Jones with girlfriend Kristen Zepp; her 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Richard Dean of Coryland; her sister, Beverly Bennett of Elmira, N.Y.; sisters-in-law, Helen, Faye, and Janice Dean; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, several brothers, and a sister. The memorial service to honor Bertha's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 at Coryland Church, 3028 Hickory Road, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., with her pastor, the Rev. Jay Zaremba officiating. Burial will be private in Glenwood Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 1093 W. Main St., Troy, Pa., has been entrusted with the arrangements.
