James Roy Herky Albert died unexpectedly at home on August 31, 2016, of an acute cardiac arrest.

He was born April 12,1966, in Eureka, California, to Frank and Barbara Bush Albert.

The family moved to Sacramento when he was about a year old. Following his graduation from John F. Kennedy High School he attended Arizona Automotive Institute for two years.

For many years Herk enjoyed helping his Dad with his racing track sales and service business at the Silver Crown Races, the NARC Sprint Car Races at Calistoga and other tracks throughout Northern California. For the last few years he has enjoyed going to the BCRA Midget Races helping Norm Rapp with his track sales and the annual WCRAA All-American Vintage Classic event at Roseville Speedway.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all motor sport events, the San Diego Chargers football team, and the Baltimore Orioles baseball team. He liked to go to car shows, racer swap meets, and browse estate and garage sales looking for antique mechanic's tools. He was a collector of sports cards, t-shirts, and hats. He also enjoyed music, reading, movies, and taking pictures. He always had his camera with him and took pictures everywhere he went.
Herk will always be remembered and greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.

He will be laid to rest alongside his father, who passed away in 2012.
