Joy Carole Tate, age 74 of Dalton, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2016 at her home.She was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Jackson Sellers.She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Carolyn Denise & Danny Reagan Ford of Bossier City, LA; sons & daughters-in-law, David Arthur & Julia Mae Tate of Gruetli-Laager, TN, Michael Anthony Tate of Adairsville, GA, James Wesley & Raven Angelic Tate of Surprise, AZ; mother, Mary Joyce Goodwin of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Judith Rosalind Nichols of Bossier City, LA and Lee Michele Beam of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Robert, Stefanie, Lindsey, Kimberly, Lauren, Alaina, Torri, Alex, Tabitha, Ben, Cathy, Crystal, Raja and Logan; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.The funeral service will be held, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Danny Ford officiating. Burial will be in the Varnell Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: David, Michael, James, Robert, Torri and Alex Tate and Robert Kelley.
