WALKERTON - Bonnie Lou Griffin, 69 years old, passed away at 8:13 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, IN, after an extended illness. Bonnie was born on February 24, 1947, in South Bend, to the late Wilbur and Mary (Holcomb) Gaut, Sr. She was a lifelong area resident. On December 14, 1991, in Walkerton, Bonnie was united in marriage to Howard L. Griffin, who survives.
Along with her husband, Howard, Bonnie is survived by her four children, Tina (Charlie) Johnson of North Liberty, Tammy (Jeff) Reichanadter of South Bend, Troy (Missy Risner) Gouker of Plymouth, and Trent (fiancee: Christina Castaneda) (former wife: Kristi Hampton) Gouker of Niles, MI; former husband and father of her children, Ronald (Charlene) Gouker of Walkerton; 17 grandchildren, Christin, Kyle, Kurt, Stephanie, Joe, Justin, Alisha, Lindsey, Abby, Brandon, Joshua, Ethan, Curstin, Paige, Xavier, Faith, and Jaxson; 17 great grandchildren; two sisters, Connie (Jim) Wolff of Walkerton, and Cathy Paschen of South Bend; and one brother, Wilbur “Bill” (Mona) Gaut, Jr. of LaPorte.
A time to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held at the American Legion in Walkerton on Saturday, October 22, 2016, beginning at 12 noon.
