Angela Dawn (Trent) Atkins age 42 of Bean Station went to be with the Lord October 2, 2016 at Lakeway Regional Hospital with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was saved at the age of 13 at Elm Springs Baptist Church in Sneedville. She was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church of Bean Station where she served as Sunday School and Bible School secretary.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willard long and Ina Jean Wolfe, Luther and Nellie Trent.

Survivors include her loving husband of 18 years, Randy (Rooster) Atkins; son, Nathan Atkins of the home; stepdaughter, Katlyn Atkins of Bean Station; two grandchildren, Natalie and Easton Harmon; parents, Roger and Linda (Sue) Trent of Bean Station; sister, Susan Trent of bean Station; brother, Brian (Christina) Trent of Morristown; nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Ashley (Storm), Breana, Austin, Draven, and Ashton; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, and an awesome church family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Bean Station with Bobby Williams and Rev. Robert White officiating, with special music by the Hedricks. Interment to follow in Bean Station Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ed McCubbins, Andy Dossett, Rick Johnson, Shannon Trent, Rick Gray, and Matt Helton. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the church.
