1989 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School
Angela (Minaya) Mooney, 45, of 48 Honeysuckle Drive, Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Huntingdon, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Wednesday evening, July 6, 2016, at her residence.
Born Jan. 31, 1971, in Jersey Shore, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Barbara (Hicks) Minaya of Mechanicsburg and the late Jed Minaya. She was formerly married to Roger Mooney of Newville.
Ms. Mooney is survived by two daughters, Allicia Minaya of Carlisle and Aubrey Mooney of Newville; three grandchildren, Kyalee, Klayton and Emmett, all of Carlisle.
She is also survived by two sisters, Drena Mark of Washington, Pennsylvania, and Danielle Lojek and husband, Matt, of Meadville; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Hicks of Huntingdon; and two nieces, Erica Mark of Bethlehem, West Virginia, and Zayda Lojek of Meadville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Joanne (Rinker) Minaya.
Ms. Mooney was of the Protestant faith.
She attended Huntingdon public schools and was a 1989 graduate of Huntingdon Area High School. Following high school, she received her associate degree in business from Juniata College, Huntingdon, in 1991.
Ms. Mooney had a passion for ballet, especially in her younger years. She also enjoyed crafting and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Tim Shafer officiating. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon.
Services are under the direction of the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon.
Memorial contributions in memory of Ms. Mooney may be made to the John B. Brown Funeral Home, P.O. Box 242, Huntingdon, PA 16652, to assist with final expenses.
