A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday October 5, 2016 at First Church of God in Effingham with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. Tuesday evening at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham and 10:00 a.m till service time Wednesday at First Church of God. Tara was born May 9, 1978 in Effingham, the daughter of Larry and Karen (Shadwell) Reed. She graduated from Effingham High School in 1996, she held two associate degrees from Lakeland College. Tara was a court advocate for S.A.F.E., she loved to have a voice for those who couldn’t speak for themselves.
Tara marched to the beat of her own drum, she was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and a dedicated mother. Her three sons were the love and joy of her life.
She is survived by her three sons, Braxton, Seaton, and Curran all at home; her parents Larry and Karen Reed; brother Gary (Janie) Reed; sister Tammy (Don) Wetherell; three nephews, Luke Wetherell, Jerrod Reed, Philip Wetherell; niece, Brittney Reed; five great nephews and three great nieces; and a true great friend Todd Daily.
She was preceded in death by her grand-parents Clarence and Ruth Shadwell and Stanford and Fryne Reed; and nephew Micah Wetherell.
