Hepzibah Humphrey b. 1767 in West Simsbury, Hartford, CT. She was the daughter of Theophilus Humphrey and Hepzibah Cornish. She was married in 1787 West Simsbury, Hartford, CT to Jesse Barber Sr. b. 16 Jan 1766 West Simsbury, Hartford, CT d. 15 Apr 1813 in Swanton.
He was the father of Jesse Barber Jr. (1806-84) buried at Greens Corners with my great aunt Harriet S. Robinson.

WHEREAS HEPHZIBAH, my wife, has eloped from me, and left my bed and board, [for reasons best known to herself] – I DO, THEREFORE, forbid all persons harboring, or trusting her, on my account; as I will not pay any DEBTS of her contracting, after this date.
