Craig passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 21, 2016.

He was born December 14, 1957 to Richard David Nelson and Connie Jean Anderson in Salt Lake City.

He married Jill Anna Lykins in the Salt Lake Temple on August 27, 1980.

He had an abiding faith and hope in the atonement of Jesus Christ and in the eternal nature of families.

He is survived by his wife, Jill; children, Katie (Brandon) Gage, Creighton (Nicole), Scott (Becky), Mark (Alyssa), Andrew, Christian (Jessica), and Emily Nelson; ten grandchildren, mother, Connie Nelson; brothers, David and Gary (Louise) Nelson; sisters, Cathy (Bradley) Nordgren and Janet (James) Howell; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard David Nelson; and sister, Diana Lyn Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fortuna Ward Chapel, 4407 South Fortuna Way. Visitations will be held at the church on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the services on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the LDS Church on Harrison Street: 6820 South 164th Avenue. Visitations will be held at 5:30 p.m., followed by the service at 6:30 p.m.
Interment will be at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in East Millcreek.
