Verna was born in Willow Springs, Missouri on September 24, 1925, daughter of the late Earnest and Ethel (Pringle) Collins. She was a beaded jewelry designer for many years and loved to share her creations with everyone she knew. Verna was a music lover, with a particular fondness for the country music genre. She loved to shop and loved to wear jewelry, but what she wore most and almost always was a smile that lit up the room.
Mrs. Hook is survived by 5 children, Ralph Larry Hook, Sherry Lee (Gary) Boston, Terry Lynn Suttle, Carey Dale (Sandra) Hook and Randy Scott Hook; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Rollin Hook; 2 sons, Craig Ricky Hook and Mark Kirby Hook; brother, Virgil Collins and sister, Mildred Carey.
