Mr. Botz was born April 8, 1905, in Sauk Centre to the late Henry and Barbara Botz. He married Agnes Hentges of Cold Spring April 30, 1930. He lived in the St. Joseph area all his life and was employed as a printer at St John s University, Collegeville, more than 50 years, retiring in 1971. He was a charter member of the Collegeville Credit Union, former member of the St. Joseph City Council, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and St. Joseph Senior Citizens.
Survivors include sons and daughter, Harvey, St. Joseph; Robert, Cloquet; Mrs. David (Donna) Gottlied, Los Angeles, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Adeline McFarland, St. Paul; Mrs. Patrick (Nellie) Zahler, St. Joseph; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife July 31, 1974.
