Judson served as a Second Lieutenant & Co-Pilot on B-17F #41-24383, 64th Bomber Squadron, 43rd Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Hartford County, Connecticut prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on February 20, 1942 at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Insurance Salesmen and also as Single, without dependents.

B-17F #41-24383, while returning from a bombing mission in Northern New Guinea, ran out of fuel and crash landed in the Gulf of Papua during the war.

Judson was declared "Missing In Action" in this crash.

He was awarded the "Silver Star" and the Purple Heart.
