Decatur, GA--Entered into rest at Georgia War Veteran's Nursing Home in Augusta, GA, after a long illness, Mr. William "Bill" Fred Rambo, Sr., 82, was the beloved husband of the late Mary Gunter Rambo for 52 years. He was born in Decatur, Ga.
He is survived by: Ronald Walter (Sylvia) Rambo, Evans, GA; Deborah Marie (Tom) Balicki, Greensboro, GA; Ray Anderson Rambo, Newborn, GA; William Fred (Lynn), Rambo, Jr., Dacula, GA; and Mary Elizabeth (Rick) Newstreet, Stone Mountain, GA; grandfather of seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was retired from the US Navy where he served in the Korean Conflict. He worked as an Electrical Engineer after graduating Georgia Technical Institute in the communication field for Western Union. He later worked in sales and designs of 2 Way Radio Systems for RESCO which he later owned and renamed to RABO Industries for 15 years until he retired. He was a member of Tucker United Methodist Church.
Private burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Tucker, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tucker United Methodist Church in his honor. (Bill was cremated with his ashes being buried next to his wife Mary in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, Georgia.)
