Kenneth James Sparrow, 64, of Warsaw, Ill. died Thursday, Dec. 22, at 3:20pm in Keokuk Area Hospital.
He was born June 28, 1930, at Sutter, Ill., to George E. and Anna M. Schroeder Sparrow. He married Joyce Ann Moffitt on Dec. 31, 1955, in Holland, Minn. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Rod (Kim) Nagel of Warsaw and Mrs. Joe (Kari) Rose of Keokuk, a son, Jeffrey K. Sparrow of Warsaw; two brothers, Lester Sparrow of Keokuk and George Sparrow of Hamilton; two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Leota) Ballard of Carthage, Ill., and Mrs. John (Erma) Hickey of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Warsaw, the American Legion Ralph Parker Post 0682 of Warsaw and served on the Warsaw School Board.
He was a 1948 graduate of Warsaw High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with Roquette America, in Keokuk.
Services were today at Trinity United Methodist Church at Warsaw with Pastor Robert Sabo Jr., officiating.
Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery at Warsaw.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Lamporte Funeral Home of Warsaw was in charge of arrangements.
