James A. "Jim" Wakefield passed away at the age of 91 on Saturday, August 13, 2016, in Roseville, California, after a long battle with several health problems. He was born in Sacramento, California to Alfred and Lucy Wakefield, graduating from C.K. McClatchy High School and Stanford University. He was a veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1945, and he retired after 32 years with the State of California Personnel Board. He will be remembered by his wife, Beryl G. Wakefield, his two daughters, Melanie Wakefield of Roseville, CA and Valerie Wakefield Bahl and, son-in-law, Bill Bahl of Sparks, NV.
