My GGG grandfather, Joshua Creel, was the son of Rev. Thomas Creel and Phoebe Dodson. He married his cousin, Ruth Dodson, about 1809 in Greene Co., GA and they were the parents of twelve children: Nancy, Mary Poley, Rev. Benjamin Franklin, Ruth, Sarah, Isaac Shelby, George Washington, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Martha and William J. Creel. He migrated from Greene Co., GA to Bibb Co., AL about 1822. He is listed in the Haysop Church burial records but there is no tombstone on his grave.
