Jeanne Marie Bell, nee Skepnek of Berkeley was born March 4, 1928, died peacefully at the age of 88 on September 30, 2016.

Loving wife of Deacon Kenneth Bell for 68 years; loving mother of Christine Bell (Aaron Cohen), Monica (Bill) Gieser; Stephen (Jane) Bell, Marty (Kathleen) Bell, Phil Bell, Greg (Phyllis) Bell, Therese (Anthony) Stellato, John Bell, and Paul (Karen) Bell; caring grandmother of David, Bernadette, Bobby, Jeannie, Ben, Genni, Michael, Melissa, Stephanie, Anne, Stephanie, John, Nathan, Eric, Christopher, Marissa, Savannah, Vince, Danny, Kendra, and Veronica; great-grandmother of Chloe, Caitlin, Aidan, Fiona, Cassidy, Emmett, Sadie, Wyatt, Isabelle, Miles, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Zachary, Peyton, Mason, Mariah, and Vincent.

Jeanne Marie and her husband were active in the Christian Family Movement for 18 years.

After raising nine children she got her degree and was a beloved teacher at St. Philip the Apostle School in Addison for 20 years.

Jeanne won the first Bishop Imesh Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2000.

She played in several bridge groups, hosted a CRHP book study for 30 years, made over 25 afghans, and embroidered over 19 tablecloths for her children and grandchildren.

She was a daily communicant since the age of 12 and showed the love of God in all she did.

She was an excellent cook and taught all nine of her children how to play the piano, although she never had a piano lesson in her life.

Her selflessness, hospitality, generosity, perseverance, faith, humility, and love have been a tremendous example to her family and her friends.

She will be sorely missed. Visitation Thursday, October 6 from 3 to 9 pm at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester (2 blocks West of Mannheim Rd.).

A Celebration of her life will be held Friday, October 7 at 10 am at St. Domitilla Church, 4940 Washington St., Hillside, IL.

Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Michael J. Bruno Director.
