Mary Beatrice (Burkhardt) Roach - 1915-2016

Mary Beatrice (Burkhardt) Roach, 101, passed away peacefully September 15, 2016 at home in Pinehurst, Texas. Mary was born June 5, 1915, in rural Spring Branch West of Houston, the daughter of Otto Burkhardt and Mary Berger.

Mary thoroughly love being outdoors gardening, planting flowers, fishing, and hunting. Mary grew up helping with the family owned business Burkhardt Nursery. Mary enjoyed spending quality time with family.
In 1939, Mary married the love of her life Hollis Lester Roach; they were happily married for 68 years. Mary enjoyed being a housewife and taking care of their four children.

Mary is survived by her sons, Larry Roach of Pinehurst, Texas and Lawrence Roach of Wallis, Texas; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters, daughter Sharon Mackey, Son Charles Roach, grandson Billy Mackey, and daughter-in-law Dorthula Roach.
Funeral services will be held Sunday October 2, 2016 at 2 pm, at the Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055 Interment will follow at Woodlawn Garden Memories.
