Funeral services for Bobbie Edwards Harrison will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harrison, age 71, of Meridian passed away September 29, 2016 at her residence.
Bobbie was a member of the 1st graduate class of West Lauderdale High School where she met her husband, Tommy, who stood by her and cared for her till her last breath. She was a member of Pursuit Church of Meridian. She retired from MS Power Company. She enjoyed cooking for and taking care of her family. Throughout her life she opened her home to young people, teaching them scripture and providing them a place of fun and fellowship. Bobbie left a legacy of faith to her family. Family and friends sought her wisdom. Her priority was sharing her love of Jesus with her family, friends, and anyone she came in contact with. She was her daughters’ role model and best friend.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William Tommy Harrison; daughter, Tammy Harrison Miles (Richard Eugene), Twyla Harrison Hurst (Jody); grandchildren, Richard Dylan Miles (Kelsey Ward), Cole Harrison Hurst, Cohen Foster Hurst; great-grandchild, Lydia May Miles; brothers, Ladalton Edwards (Sandra), Earlmon Edwards; sister, Janell Spence Killough (Rev. J.C. Killough); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Alvin and Walterine McFarland Edwards.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Pursuit Church of Meridian, 5555 Hwy 19 N, Meridian, MS 39307.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hurst, Dale Nicholas, Andrew Post, Jamey Bush, Adam Herrington, David Giffin, Terry Allen, and Steven Cooksey.
